About — Binichukwu Jubilee Onyedikachukwu
A student, learning by building for the web.
I'm Jubilee, a Nigerian university student and aspiring web developer. I'm interested in how the web actually works and in the international systems that shape the world it connects.
Web development
I build practical web solutions that simplify everyday tasks and improve how people manage information..
I began with HTML and CSS before expanding into JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. Through practical projects, I have developed experience in website development, attendance management and digital registration systems, including certificate generation.
My approach to development is centred on building reliable, user-friendly and maintainable solutions. I pay attention to clean code, responsive layouts and functionality, ensuring that each project delivers a consistent experience across different devices.
International Relations
I study International Relations, with a particular interest in diplomacy, governance and global affairs.
My academic interests include international cooperation, foreign policy, global institutions and the relationships between states. I am particularly interested in how governments make decisions, how countries pursue their national interests, and how these decisions shape the wider international system. Studying International Relations has broadened my understanding of global issues, strengthened my analytical perspective and encouraged me to consider how institutions, policies and technology influence society.
Where they meet
The two interests are closely connected, particularly in how technology can improve institutions and public services.
My interest lies in developing digital solutions that make organisational processes more efficient, accessible and reliable. From information management to digital registration systems, I see technology as a practical tool for addressing administrative challenges and improving service delivery.
I am particularly interested in the application of technology in governance, public administration and international development. This intersection continues to shape my academic interests and the kind of digital solutions I aspire to build.
Skills
The tools I work with, and the things I have practised them on:
- HTML and CSS — semantic structure, responsive layouts and careful typography.
- JavaScript — small, purposeful interactions and progressive enhancement.
- PHP and MySQL — server-side pages and database-backed forms.
- Website development — planning, building and publishing small sites end to end.
- Practical projects — an institutional website, an attendance tool, and a youth registration and certificate system.
These are working skills, not qualifications. I'm continuing to study and to practise, and I'd rather build something modest that works than describe something grand that doesn't.
